Street Running Trains, Michigan City Indiana Street Runner Trains! South Shore Line Railway & Amtra

Unusual streetrunning trains in Michigan City Indiana. Railroad maintenance is going on while replacing the street running railroad track on Eleventh Street. South Shore Line commuter trains and freight trains share the tracks with Amtrak. We filmed several trains going down the street on August 11, 2017. We stayed at the Bridge Inn at Michigan City to watch trains cross a 1905 bridge that closes about 15 minutes before trains arrive. This video shows 2 Amtrak trains cross the bridge along with 3 streetrunning trains. CSX shares the line over the historic bridge with Amtrak. Future videos will show more Amtrak trains here and near the Michigan boarder. We also stayed at the Golden Sands Motel to watch trains near the boarder of Indiana and Michigan. Thanks for watching!
