There was a curse on Ariel that when she turned 18 she would become a mermaid, the pair never really believed it would happen but it did. Despite this, they remain loyal to eachother. One day Ursula sees Tarzan through her bubble and wants him desperately. Meanwhile Ariel sees a ship arriving and sees Eric. She feels something for him, but before she can think about it, the ship blows up and she saves him from drowning. Eric wakes to Ariel singing and feels attracted to her. Tarzan sees them and Ariel quickly goes back into the sea, confused about her feelings. She figures she must just be lonely from becoming a mermaid which is why she has these new feelings for Eric, and goes to Ursula to become human. She makes Ariel a human permanently but she must give up her voice. Ariel agrees and Ursula wastes no time into turning into Vanessa. Ariel runs into Tarzan and he&ecstatic to see her human again. She shows she can no longer speak because of it but he says he loves her anyway. Later, Eric finds her and they have a moment. Ariel realises that maybe in some other world they could be together, but still has stronger feelings for Tarzan. Meanwhile, Ursula uses Ariel&voice to possess Tarzan so he can fall in love with her. Ariel sees Tarzan and Vanessa together and is crushed. She cries and can&believe Tarzan would do this to her. Eric comforts her but even...
