Идолы поколения: жизнь и таланты
Doris D. & The Pins was a British-Dutch song and dance group that was successful in the first half of the 1980s. The center of the group was the English singer Doris D (pseudonym of Debbie Jenner), who was also the face of the group Lipps Inc. The Pins were formed by the Dutch Irene van der Hoeven, Ingrid de Goede and Yvonne van Splunteren. (Van Splunteren was replaced by Denise van der Hek in 1983.) The Dutch composer Piet Souer (Luv&wrote the song "Shine Up" for the group Doris D & The Pins. This song only became a number 1 hit in the Top 40 in 1981. The production did not get further than 2nd place in the National Hit Parade. "Shine Up" was followed by "The Marvelous Marionettes" and "Dance On", which also landed in the top ten. Soon after the success, tensions arose between Doris D and the Pins. In 1985, Doris D & The Pins finally split up.
