Jackson JS22-7 MOD | 250k vs 500k TONE POT | How MUCH of a Difference does it make?

#Potentiomters Hello! First, I want to thank all of my new and old subscribers. You guys have almost got me to 100 subs! I never thought I&make it past 20, so it means a lot and is really cool to me. Anyway, here I am again, back with another modification to my JS22-7. This is probably the last hardware mod I will do on it, then next up is the paint job. This video is just going to be me hashing out my mistake of using a 250k pot in the tone position, and comparing the difference between that and a potentiometer of the correct impedance. I have worked on and built many many guitars, and I usually follow conventional wisdom as many techs, luthiers, and players before me have already paved the way to a treasure trove of guitar and electronics knowledge. Here, I am going to test some of that conventional knowledge, and get down to the nitty gritty on how much merit it holds. In my next video, I will hopefully break down how the signal chain in your guitar works, in a way that is easy to understand. Every guitarist should be able to maintain and modify their own instrument to their preferred specs without having to dole out hundreds of dollars to someone who may or may not treat your instrument with the love that you would.
