Tweed 5F1 Champ - Demo - Hand Wired point to point By R/G Amps - TX

Demo of a hand wired 5F1 Champ by R/G Amplification ~ this video demonstrates the clean (guitar straight in) tone the 5F1 Champ... Volume dial is set in the middle just on the fringes of break-up. This is the same 5F1 circuit used by Billy Gibbons on several early ZZ tracks, also Hendrix, Joe Walsh, Jeff Beck, Clapton and countless other classic rock icons. For this demo we placed a ribbon mic about 10" from the grill cloth and a rode NT1 out in the middle of the large room. Nothing but an old strat we have laying around straight into the amp with no pedals of any kind. The speaker in this demo is an 8ohm Weber 12A125A in single 12 cabinet by Avatar. Weber 12A125A is the same alnico magnet speaker we use in Rio Grande 5E3 Tweed Deluxe combo amps. The original 5F1 Fender Champs use a 4 ohm output transformer driving an 8" speaker. We changed our 5F1 to 8 ohm output because 8 ohm speaker selection is much better. We have a reputation of producing reliable, noise free amps for touring musicians and recording studios alike.
