CARTOON EVOLUTION - BUGS BUNNY I take a look at the history and evolution of Bugs Bunny (Happy Rabbit / Chungus), the loveable rascally rabbit who defies authority, has a dry, smart-alec witt, and loves a good-hearted prank and wisecrack. Voiced by Mel Blanc, the man of a thousand voices, as one of Warner Bros. original Looney Tunes (originating in the Merrie Melodies shorts), Bugs Bunny has gone on to become the most used cartoon character ever and, alongside the likes of Santa Clause, Count Dracula and Sherlock Holmes, is one of the most portrayed characters in the history of film. I take a look at how Bugs evolved alongside Warner Bros. other popular characters, including Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Elmer Fudd, Yosemite Sam and more, and how he co-existed and outshone characters from Disney including Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck and creations from Hanna-Barbera.
