Demis Roussos / Aphrodite's Child - The Shepherd and the Moon

Aphrodite&Child was one of the leading bands of European rock. For two and a half years (from mid &until about the late 70s) Vangelis Papathanassiou, Demis Roussos and Lucas Sideras starred with their songs throughout Europe, achieving huge commercial and artistic success. Based on the photoshoot in which Demis Roussos, Vangelis Papathanassiou and Lucas Sideras, then members of the band Aphrodite&Child, are dressed in Greek clothes and exotic shawls, here is a video with the song inspired in a Greek legend, The Shepherd And The Moon. Most of these photos were attended by Demis&first wife, Monique, the mother of his daughter Emily. The interesting thing about this photographic encounter is that at the time the two were falling in love. But, attention. In the pictures where they pose in normal clothes, the model girls are not the same, and the blonde young lady that Demis carries in his arms, running in the sand, is not Monique.
