DECRIPTION: This is the sixth Xiaomi update to the Mi Band series and is almost identical to the Ni Band 5 except for a larger screen, slightly large3r body, blood oxygen readings, and a few more workout modes. As with all these bands to date, the band is totally useless until you pair it with a phone running the Mi Fit app (for which you need to give all kinds of permissions, including your location, or you won’t activate the device). Upon first use the band goes immediately into firmware and resource updating without any request for permission or allowing you time to charge the unit fully. Make sure you leave lots of time for this, like at least a half hour or longer.
