CUMBIA DE PAREJA " La tierra del olvido CCFO"

The Origin of Cumbia music comes from the days of slavery in the late 17th century and is derived from the African word CUMBE which means dance. So in summamry CUMBIA was born in Colombia from a cultural mix of African and Colombian Indigenous. Spanish colonisers rated de Cumbia as a ritual dance of the devil because of the Cumbia&backgrounds. Only the music started to be popular and accepted in the general society of Colombia around 1950&because some musicians took the risk of putting others instruments in the traditional and original rhythm of Cumbia played with African tambor and Indigenous flute. From 1950&Cumbia is played with so many others instruments and from there Cumbia when around America, and every country of South America and Central America adopted this beautiful Colombian rhythm and they adapt the Cumbia to each of their societies and cultures.. Today Cumbia is a rhythm dancing and singing around the world. The choreography here is a traditional form of dance Cumbia in Colombia, Mostly in the traditional way a story is told love.
