All Kawasaki zxr750 and zx7r models are factory fitted with a slipper clutch (Kawasaki called it a back torque limiting clutch). From the factory the amount of slip is set to minimum and most owners do not realise it&even there, but by changing out some or all of the steel plates for thinner versions, the amount of slip can be adjusted. The standard plate thickness is 2.3mm, by installing 3 thinner 2.0mm plates the slip is set to medium and by installing a full set of 2.0mm plates slip is set to maximum, be aware that max slip will give virtually no engine braking.
