My daughter also had one for herself (also for kids) but her previous printer required her to slice things on a tablet, and that was confusing and extremely slow. The Kidoodle has a catalogue of pre-sliced models that start printing immediately. This was perfect for her satisfaction in printing things herself. The printer is fast, the interface on the screen is super easy. It has a direct-drive print head, filament sensor, cooling is adequate. Opening the door pauses the print, it feels quite safe for kids. Kidoodle has an App for iOS and Android. I installed them. We never used them. She used the screen of the printer all the time.
