Please subscribe! How to remove the Turbo on Vauxhall and Opel 1.7 CDTI. The video starts with the EGR and Cooler removal then goes on to remove the Turbo with and without Air Con Pump removal. If you remove the air con pump you will need to have the gas taken out of the car! Remove the Electrical connector on the top of the EGR valve. Remove the boost pipe between the EGR valve and Intercooler by loosening the jubilee clips at either end either with a flast head screwdriver or a 7mm socket and ratchet. Locate 4 10mm bolts at the front of the EGR valve and remove. Remove the 12mm bolt from the EGR. To remove the Inlet Pipe between the EGR valve and the Inlet Manifold remove 3 12mm bolts from both ends. To remove the cold air intake pipe from the top of the engine loosen the jubilee clips on the top side and the turbo side. Remove a 13mm bolt fromt the top of the engine. If more access space is require to move the lower jubilee clip you may wish to remove the Turbo/Intercooler boost pipe by loosening the jubilee clips also. Unclip the rocker breather and you&be able to pull the cold air intake pipe toward the right of the car away from the turbo. To remove the EGR cooler remove 2 12mm bolts from the EGR end and 2 E12 Star bolts from the Exhaust side. Unclip the coolant hoses using a pair of mole grips from the top and bottom of the EGR cooler. At this point you will either need to clamp the hoses or drain the coolant and replace when finished.
