This is a full comparison between the new XHDATA D-219 and the Tecsun R-9012, which has built up quite a following. The Tecsun is analogue, the XHDATA is DSP-based. They are both great budget radios for DXing, although the XHDATA is considerably cheaper, it is half the price of the Tecsun. This video will give you an idea of how these two stack up against one another. I compare them on five different shortwave signals, from Asia, the Middle East, Africa and the Atlantic Ocean. I am using only their built-in antennas, at my usual location in South Africa. 00:00 Introduction 00:20 China Radio International 5985 kHz from Beijing 03:12 China Radio International 6155 kHz Russian service from Beijing 05:08 Voice of America 6195 kHz from Selebi-Phikwe, Botswana 06:54 BBC 11810 kHz from Al Dhabbiya, UAE 08:29 Radio Ndarason International 12050 kHz from Ascension Island 09:52 My verdict
