On the classical guitar, pizzicato is a special effect that imitates the pizzicato of bowed-string instruments (Violin, Viola, Cello and etc). For classical guitar ,the pizzicato technique is executed by resting the side of the right-hand’s palm above the saddle and muting the strings, to filter out the high frequencies of the note and shortens it&decay.
