Is It Really Good For Gaming? Sound Blaster Katana V2X First Impressions

The "Our Watch Before You Buy" series helps parents and educators choose the best educational tools for home and school use. In this series, we test a variety of apps, games, STEM products, and occasionally other hardware that may be useful for gaming or education. About three months ago, we received a test unit of the Sound Blaster Katana V2K Gaming Soundbar, and this video is our first impressions of the product. Normally, when testing games, we use headphones, but on occasion, we also use active studio monitors. These monitors provide good acoustic fidelity and linear sound reproduction, but this is not what one typically wants when playing games. You want punchy and powerful bass, right? The Sound Blaster Katana V2K solved this problem for us, and we are now planning to purchase a production unit for our studio use!
