The classic StingRay, reborn. The Music Man StingRay Special bass has been redesigned, re-imagined and rebuilt, to suit the modern player. With sleek, refined contours, the StingRay Special provides a comfortable playing experience. The 5-bolt sculpted neck joint allows players to have unhindered access to the maple neck and ebony fingerboard. Roasted maple yields a bright tone, and has a beautifully striking appearance. The body is crafted from ash, delivering good resonance for a classic bass tone. Powered by a single yet incredibly powerful pickup, that is loaded with neodynium magnets for increased output. In addition, there is an 18 Volt 3-band preamp on-board for an even wider range of sounds. The Music Man Stingray Special is equipped with re-engineered lightweight tuners, creating a balanced neck. Finally, the StingRay is complete with a Jet Black finish and a matching pickguard for a rock look.
