Hello friends! In this video, I show you how I connect my electronic drums to Superior Drummer 3 and give you a quick demonstration of some of the articulations and dynamics I can get from SD3 using my E-kit. I use the Roland TD27 drum module as my interface to send the MIDI signals via USB to my computer and trigger sounds from superior Drummer 3. No other device is needed and we don&actually need to use a DAW. To connect the E-drums, we can use SD3 as standalone software. Ideally, the laptop should be on the higher specs side (especially on the RAM). The kit presets are big on RAM usage and the sound libraries should preferabbly be installed on an SSD!! Here&how to connect your drums to Superior Drummer 3 using a Roland TD27 drum module: *First, turn off the "local control" setting from the module system menu. (System-MIDI-Basic-Local Control-OFF). *Install on your computer the USB drivers available on the Roland website. *Make sure you connect your drum module via USB to your pc and that you&got the SD3 core library installed. You&have to connect your headphones or speakers to your computer and you can open Superior Drummer on a DAW or as the standalone version. *Open the "Settings" menu, go to the "Midi in/E-drums" tab and select "Use Preset". Select your drum module, then go to the "Audio/Midi Setup". Select the "Midi Devices" tab and tick your drum module and that&it! Ready to go! *If any midi mapping is necessary, select the instrument go to the "Midi Mapping"...
