A full review of the new tool Tamiya F-4B Phantom II of the US Navy. This kit is virtually seamless when assembled. It has recessed panel lines and fine detail that is not seen on other models. Options include wing tips folded up or down. An extended fueling probe or retracted. Flaperons can be positioned up or down, as well as the air brakes on the underside of the planes fuselage. The canopies can be displayed up or down, and fully closed. The rear stabilizer can also pivot up up and down. The top of the fuselage is created with full cover piece to prevent a top seam on the model. Many other components are jointed at a panel line to hide where the assembly occurs. The fit issues are great, with minimal gaps. A few issues do arise with the intake assemblies, but it can easily be taken care of with scraping and sanding. there are multiple Sidewinder missiles, Sparrow missiles, Drop tanks, and pylons for options. There is no wheel up option and would need converting for a flying position. The kit comes with 3 sets of decals. one set of painting masks for the canopies, and stencil decals. Three full scale foldout color diagrams for each decal set. The model does have extra parts to be used for a later conversion at some point of a different F-4 Phantom.
