DeWALT cordless drill DC727 died: How to disassemble and replace the trigger

My DeWALT cordless drilling machine suddenly broke down for no reason. In this video I will show you how to take it apart and how to analyze the cause of the problem. You will also see me screwing up and shorting out the trigger mechanism which I had to replace to fix it. The same trigger is used in various other models like DC988, DC987, DC759, DC385. I found a second hand trigger on AliExpress for €14 (including shipping). If I had not shortened out the trigger, the repair would not have cost anything.
