PHYSICAL FEATURES GEOGRAPHY VOCABULARY KS1 🌎 Miss Ellis Do you know what all the Human and Physical Features vocabulary are for KS1 Geography? That&children in Year 1 and Year 2. Watch this video for a simple explanation of each word for Physical features and watch my other video for Human features. In Geography Key Stage 1 children (year 1 and year 2) need to learn. The National Curriculum states that &should develop knowledge about the world, the United Kingdom and their locality. They should understand basic subject-specific vocabulary relating to human and physical geography and begin to use geographical skills, including first-hand observation, to enhance their locational awareness.' In KS1 children need to use basic geographical vocabulary to refer to key physical features, including: beach, cliff, coast, forest, hill, mountain, sea, ocean, river, soil, valley, vegetation, season and weather. This video explains what each of these words means. Did you know Miss Ellis has a channel dedicated to stories and poems called Love2Read with Miss Ellis?
