2014 Infiniti QX80 - Intelligent Key® and Locking Functions

Without removing the Intelligent Key from your pocket or purse, you can lock or unlock your doors, open the liftgate and start the engine. To unlock the vehicle, have the Intelligent Key with you and then push the request switch on the door handle. That door will now unlock. Push the switch again within one minute to unlock all doors and the liftgate. To lock your vehicle, push any door handle&request switch once, after all doors have been closed. The Intelligent Key has lockout protection. If the power door lock switch is moved to the lock position with any door open and the Intelligent Key in the vehicle, all doors unlock immediately and a warning chime sounds as soon as the door is closed. These lock and unlock functions are operational when the Intelligent Key is within about 2 1⁄2 feet of a request switch. To activate the panic alarm, press this button for more than one second. The panic alarm will sound and the headlights will stay on for a period of time. The Intelligent Key can also be used to operate door locks and windows from outside the vehicle, at a distance of up to 33 feet. To lock doors, press the LOCK button. Your hazard warning lights will flash twice, your horn will beep once, and you&know that all doors are locked. To unlock the doors, press the UNLOCK button.
