Empress ZOIA Guitar Demo – The Sunken World

Before buying my ZOIA I could not find a comprehensive collection of ZOIA demos for guitar. I’ve decided to create one to share what this box is capable of. These are quick, first exploration videos, so some settings or features may have been missed. This patch was recorded in stereo via a Fender Thinline Telecaster with p90 pickups, into ZOIA, into Strymon Iridium and then my audio interface with no post processing. I did not create this patch. Thanks to all who take the time to create these patches and share them. ------------------------ Patch name: The Sunken World — a soundscape and chaos patch Author: Christopher H. M. Jacques Author Description: Combining ring mod, delay, and reverb into one patch, with the option to place the ring mod following the delay or in its feedback path, the Sunken World creates rich, modulated soundscapes. With some fairly unconventional modulation approaches, the delay can produce everything from static comb filtering and random flanging to scattershot, unpredictable bendings of time and pitch. The ring mod (technically, audio multiply modules, because I prefer their output), meanwhile, features a robust modulation section, with barberpole options that provide the sensation of continuously rising and falling pitch to random ring modulation, for the classic sci-fi feel.
