--- For the HP OfficeJet 6700 printer (H711n model), if you have installed a new HP932 or HP933 standard ink cartridge (or HP 932XL, 933XL high capacity ink cartridge) and you observe a or or on your 6700 then it is possible that the internal PRINTHEAD may have a bent or or pins. When the cartridge is installed these pins make contact with the To verify pin condition, remove all 4 ink cartridges and using a flash light, carefully inspect the internal PRINTHEAD contact pins for visible damage. Each pin should be protruding outwards as shown. If the pin is bent down, it is possible to gently pry it back up with a small screwdriver. If a pin is broken, then the PRINTHEAD will need to be replaced. Other printer error messages which could signify a PRINTHEAD problem include “Ink Cartridge “Cartridge Damaged”, “Printhead Failure” or “The following cartridges are for use in this Printer”. Note: If “One or more cartridges may be missing or damaged” or “Ink Cartridge Failure”, etc. is displayed then the electronic chip attached to the bottom side of cartridge may have poor connectivity with the printer (i.e. possible ink residue on chip contacts or may be scratched.
