My sister anabahnahna gave me a (working) PS1 which I&wanted for a while. The only way I could play my PS1 games before was on my PS3. I also show a comparison of the two. Hope you guys like the video. The TV is an 18 inch CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) which is connected with regular RCA composite cables, while the HDTV is connected with an HDMI cable. The PS3 settings have been set to up-convert PS1 games as well. I recently found out that the PS3 does not de-interlace PS1 game using the HDMI cable. That&because the PS3&HDMI output only supports 480p, 720p, 1080i & 1080p. It cannot output a 480i signal with HDMI. PS1 games only go up to 480i (or less depending on the game). So if you are upscalling using an HDMI cable as oppose to a component cable the PS3 will not de-interlace the video and you&get the lines as you see in the video. Thanks for watching.
