Boxster 986 Variocam operation with no oil pressure

This short video shows how variocam actuators moves between the two endpoints while turning the crankshaft. The actuators are not filled with oil, so the piston inside the actuator moves freely as the load is moving from one side of the chain to the other as the corresponding valves open and close.
