Fellowes Powershred 10M Paper Shredder

Good robust heavy duty shredder, I have used a shredder for many years but the ones I have had have been lightweight and struggle with more than a couple of sheets and I have replaced with similar when they finally gave up. I find now I have a lot more items need shredding and with identity theft being common place I am even more diligent when it comes to destroying paperwork that could be used. This is not a lightweight shredder in either weight or performance; its weight is an advantage giving it a solid base with very little chance of it getting knocked over, spilling out or even damaging it. The slide out draw removal system works well making it very easy to empty unlike some you have to lift the lid off to empty. I gave it a really good test as I had a mass of documents that needed shredding stacking up; multiple sheets go through it with ease and the resulting shred gives tiny pieces almost impossible to reconstruct. The lock switch works perfectly although I thought I didn’t like the slide function select switch and would have liked it to locate more positively or click in place better. The Wheels work well and make it really easy to move around negating any issues you may have with moving something heavy, the wheels click into the base and I found them a bit of a struggle to get in but as it’s a one off job not really a big deal.
