Tungiasis Sand Flea Under the Microscope (Tunga penetrans aka jigger flea skin pathology)

A perfect example of the sand flea, Tunga penetrans, burrowed into the skin of an unfortunate foot. Tungiasis is also known as chigoe flea, jigger flea, and many other names.
