The bizarre and tragic end of Lacey Fletcher | An open true crime case

The story of Lacey Fletcher, the girl who was left to die in her own waste and was fused to the couch. This case is ongoing and the trial of her parents Clay and Sheila Fletcher was due to take place today, the 6th of February 2023, but has now been delayed until later this year on the 19th of June. They stand trial on the charge of second degree murder. This case is mysterious in many ways. The claim that lacey had "locked in" syndrome, would prevent Lacey moving to use the bathroom on her own, but it would not explain why her parents did not help her, clean her, or take her to a doctor. It also does not explain why the couch stuffing was in her stomach, or why she was unclothed in the manner she was found. *Warning* strong stomachs are needed for the crime scene image of the couch, and please let me know in the comments what you make of this bizarre story!
