Degrees of comparison / Comparison of adjectives quiz for beginners and kids. Degrees of Comparison are adjectives that change form and are used to compare one thing or person to another. They don&apply to nouns and verbs; only adjectives and adverbs do. There are three different types of degrees of comparison. 1. Positive Degree In comparison, the adjective in its simplest form is positive degree. It is used to describe a person&or thing¤t state when no comparison is made. 2. Comparative Degree In Degrees of Comparison, the comparative degree of an adjective   is used to compare two things or two sets of things. 3. Superlative Degree The superlative degree is used to compare more than two people or things. Example Sentences 1. There are very few places as pretty as Paris. (Positive Degree) 2.
