Ben Thomas Taylor is a guitarist, composer, and producer from Greenville, South Carolina based in Miami, Florida. Currently pursuing his bachelor°ree in jazz guitar performance at the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami, he has already performed with high profile artists across a variety of genres, such as Latin-pop artist Evaluna Montaner, finalist on “The Voice” Delvin Choice, contemporary Christian music pioneer Martin Smith. He has also performed and studied with high profile jazz musicians such as Maria Schnieder, Troy Roberts, Chuck Loeb, Steve Watson, John Hart, John Daversa, Dafnis Prieto, and many others. Ben draws heavily from all different genres of music, most prominantly Rock, Funk, Jazz, R&B, and Pop. Ben has also been influenced by countless musicians across genres, but lists his biggest influences as Julian Lage, Gilad Hekselman, Jonathan Kriesberg, Allan Holdsworth, Mark Lettieri, John Coltrane, Chick Corea, Keith Jarrett, Eddie Van Halen, and Slash. Ben’s purpose is to create music that entertains, inspires, and evokes emotion in his listeners, and he hopes to accomplish this through his debut album which is currently in production and will be released later this year.
