2008 ford galaxy 1.8 tdci egr valve acuator(motor) inspection after being replaced. Read descriptio

Took the EGR valve acuator off my 2008 ford galaxy 1.8 tdci 100bhp 5 speed manual. The acuator opens and closes the EGR valve . Car was intermittently jerking at low speeds and in 3rd and 4th gear. Plugged in obd reader and code P0489 came up . When a P0489 code is stored, it means that the engine control module (ECM) has detected a fault with an electrical component of the EGR system. The EGR system works to prevent the release of harmful emissions into the environment. As you can see from the video there was alot of black soot in and around the motor. There is a rubber gasket on the rear where the wiring clips on but that was all covered in soot aswell as all in side every single part of it. So it&safe to say the soot is to blame for the motor failing. The 1.8 tdci engine from 2006 to 2015 all use the same egr valve and actuator and many many other parts , so ford transit, transit, connect, galaxy, smax, cmax, focus and Mondeo 1.i tdci are all the same parts incase u needed to know
