Using a reflector for natural light portrait photography

Shooting portraits in natural sunlight is a fantastic idea, but taking these photos during the mid day sun does not lead to great photos. In such a situation, the harsh sunlight causes the subject to either squint when the sun is your main light on the model&face and on top of that, it causes dark shadows under the nose, eyes and chin, which is quite unpleasant. In this behind the scenes shoot, I&illustrate a solution using a simple reflector to get the job done, while using the sun as a rim light behind the model to give a nice glow to the hair.
