Alpine X800D (S906) - VW Crafter / Mercedes Sprinter Review

A Quick Run Through Of The Alpine X800D-U Installed Into A 2014 Volkswagen Crafter. 8" Touchscreen Nav System With Digital Radio! Today we installed the really impressive Alpine Style X800D into a 2014 Volkswagen Crafter. It&designed to fit the Mercedes Sprinter but as the two vehicles are pretty much the same just with a different badge it went in quite well. We teamed this awesome bit of kit up with an OEM Spec High Level Brake Light Reversing Camera to help with parking! The dashboard behind the scenes does require some slight modification to mainly allow all the extra wiring but it¬ too difficult to accomplish on this vehicle. The X800D comes with a massive 8" Touchscreen display that offers Navigation, Digital Radio, iPod, Bluetooth, DVD Player etc that allows for integration with Vehicle Multi-function Steering Wheel, Parking Sensors, Climate Control and Reversing Camera etc. As it&a VW we also made our own custom splash screen on start to give it that OEM Factory Feel. This Vehicle Specific Style Kit is available for the Mercedes Vito, Sprinter, Viano, ML and Volkswagen Crafter and T5!
