The Boss BD-2 Blues Driver is one of the most classic pedals that any player should take the time to get to know. It is an excellent example of a great-sounding pedal that is highly responsive to your own playing dynamics, as well as the volume knob on your guitar. That being said, many players acknowledge that the Blues Driver works best at lower gains, and some even find its lack of bass disturbing. (see what I did there?) This video attempts to present the pedal&performance before and after modifying its circuit. Due to the limitations of this platform, I chose to mix the "before" (stock pedal) to the left audio channel, and the "after" (modded pedal) to the right audio channel. If you want to isolate each audio track do you can hear the before and after separately, you can do this easily by either configuring your sound card (if you&listening on a PC or Mac), or by listening to one headphone at a time (if you&listening on headphones). Recorded at: Carcharias Effects HQ Signal chain: Fender Strat → Boss BD-2 Blues Driver → Soundcard direct input → Waves GTR Amp (amp and cab simulator plugin) → Waves L1 Limiter (because the volume knob gets the audio pretty loud at one point) Guitar: Daniel Avissar
