1997 Suzuki Marauder VZ800 Carb Problems

So I intially did a SpacerJim stage 2 kit install on this bike, I didn&have the k&n&yet so that went horribly wrong and any time I hit the gas it would bog down hard like the front cylinder was dying out. So I took the stage 2 jets out and put in the stocks but left the needles basically making it a stage 1.....I have adjusted the air/fuel mixture a bunch of times, this final time using vacuum gauges to reach the highest point of vacuum then syncing them. The bike is running better now but it is still (as you can hear) breaking up about midway up the poweband, then somewhat running ok till the top end where it breaks up again.
