Chopin Piano Sonata No.1 Op.4 in C minor - Idil Biret The Piano Sonata No. 1 in C minor, Op. 4 was written by Frédéric Chopin in 1828 (probably begun around July).[1] It was written during Chopin&time as a student with Józef Elsner, to whom the sonata is dedicated. Despite having a low opus number, the sonata was not published until 1851 by Tobias Haslinger in Vienna, two years after Chopin&death.[2][3] This sonata is considered to be less refined than the later 2 sonatas, and is thus much less frequently performed and recorded 0:00 Mov.I Allegro Maestoso. Brilliant and Powerful notes. 7:19 Mov.II Allegretto Menuetto. Brilliant, Quietly powerful, and the Trio is a mixture of romanticism, calm, virtuosity, and accent. 11:46 Mov.III Larghetto. Beautiful a quite classic but extremely relaxing. 16:03 Presto Finale. A mixture of virtuosimo and romanticism, a rude way of saying something but still beautiful, it&as if I&trying to release something.
