How to record good sound with your Nikon D3400 DSLR Camera Hello and welcome to this Camerawize video for the Nikon D3400 microphone settings. In this video we are going to be talking about sound and how to get good sound for your video. Photographers often struggle with sound when they try to shoot video, generally speaking, when they are shooting stills. They do not have to consider sound and as often as not, they are quite loud or they do not take any notice of it whatsoever. And so when they have to come and shoot video and start to concentrate on sound, they can find it quite baffling and actually quite difficult. OK, well first of all let us look at how we can record sound in the Nikon D3400 so let us switch that on and we go to MENUS and SHOOTING MENU and at the bottom of that in MOVIE SETTINGS you will see third down the option for MICROPHONE. If you go into there you will see that we have three options Auto Sensitivity, Manual Sensitivity and Microphone Off. If you set the Nikon D3400 microphone settings on manual then you can set it to the sound of the voice or the noise that you want to record and so consequently if there is a different level of noise either silence or something very loud then the camera won&be distracted by that because it has been set manually for the sound that you want to record.
