Melodies of Bliss
Today we test 12 different mics on rock vocals in an untreated room. The mics are all connected to the SSL2+ audio interface and from there into the computer. The first sample of each mic is the volume matched raw recording, the second sample is processed and mixed in with match EQ, compression and reverb. The song is Next In Line by Where We First Met. 00:00 Intro 00:31 MXL V67G - Raw 01:05 MXL V67G - Processed 01:40 Shure SM57 - Raw 02:15 Shure SM57 - Processed 02:49 sE Electronics X1 - Raw 03:24 sE Electronics X1 - Processed 03:59 Aston Origin - Raw 04:33 Aston Origin - Processed 05:08 Lewitt LCT440 Pure - Raw 05:43 Lewitt LCT440 Pure - Processed 06:17 Sennheiser MK4 - Raw 06:52 Sennheiser MK4 - Processed 07:27 Avantone CK-7+ - Raw 08:01 Avantone CK-7+ - Processed 08:36 Warm Audio WA-47jr - Raw 09:10 Warm Audio WA-47jr - Processed 09:45 AKG C214 - Raw 10:20 AKG C214 - Processed 10:54 Shure SM7B - Raw 11:29 Shure SM7B - Processed 12:04 Audio Technica AT4040 - Raw 12:38 Audio Technica AT4040 - Processed 13:13 Neumann TLM102 - Raw 13:48 Neumann TLM102 - Processed 14:22 Outro If you found this video interesting or helpful, please give us a thumbs up.
