Join me as I deathmatch through all the maps available on CS2 while benchmarking the performance on M1 Max chip on Macbook Pro 14" through Apple&Game Porting Toolkit. DISCLAIMER: CS2, Game Porting Toolkit and MacOS Sonoma are all in Beta. There are multiple translation layers involved with rosetta 2 for x86 to ARM and DirectX11 to Metal. The performance benchmarks we see are not representative of how the game will perform when a MacOS version eventually releases. Considering the performance we see here with multiple translations happening plus only 10-15% GPU usage, the performance we might see in the official release is looking very promising.
