Husqvarna Svartpilen 701 – The Review from Knox A couple of months ago, we got the chance to ride the Husqvarna Vitpilen 701. A couple of weeks ago, we put out that the Vitpilen 701 was our favourite of 2019 and our time with the Svartpilen was probably slightly overshadowed by that. However, that doesn’t take anything away from the Husqvarna Svartpilen 701, it’s an absolute banger! Built with a great recipe, the Husky Svartpilen 701 features the fantastic KTM 690 single cylinder engine with a superlight-weight package of great chassis, suspension, brakes and Pirelli MT60 tyres. In short, this means that the Svartpilen is a fantastic riders bike. The Svartpilen 701 engine produces 75hp and 72Nm of torque, has a quickshifter and weighs only 157kg dry. The Svartpilen 701 looks amazing in our opinion and the 2020 Svartpilen raises the bar again. Svartpilen translates to “black arrow” in Swedish and Husqvarna have been quite careful to consider how they would make this work. Using line work, matt and gloss finishing and beautiful detailing, we think they’ve nailed it. As always, in this review we are wearing Knox products as below.
