JBL 104 Studio Monitor Review I&owned the JBL 104&for abour 2 months now and walk you through why I bought them, followed by a review and final sound test. You really can&hear the difference at all, in fact the microphone is doing so much smoothing when it&recording the audio that the "EQ OFF" sounds "fuller&than the "EQ On". But take a critical listen with headphones to the lower mids around 200hz and you should be able to hear "something" removed from there. In the real world that &is woof, but unfortunately in this recording it actually sounds like "fullness". I&putting this caveat here to show you i¬ delusional on this topic haha, I can hear what it sounds like for face value. When I do the real EQ calibration video I&find a better way to record the room audio to make it present a truer replication of whats happening in the real world. --- So yeah long story short, pretty much every review sings the praise of the JBL-104 but I¬ buying it. There&very obvious and harsh frequencies around 400hz-2k, I observed this in different rooms and across RCA, TRS and Aux. Between owning JBL gear before, loving the sound of the JBL 305p Mark2&and also the glowing reviews of the JBL 104&I decided that at $200 it was worth taking a punt on.
