Скачки в честь Муфтия Дагестана шейха Ахмада Афанди и Имама Шамиля (1797 - 1871) в Хунзахе (центральный Дагестан). Also the race was dedicated to the start of construction of a memorial in honor of Imam Shamil (1797 - 1871). Imam Shamil - political and religious leader of the Muslims of the Northern Caucasus. He was a leader of anti-Russian resistance in the Caucasian War and was the third Imam of the Caucasian Imamate (1840–1859). In horse racing had three races: 3, 5 and 7 laps. The main prize - 500 thousand rubles.
