Update (about a year later): If I did this again I&try the Wolf Tooth remote lever (per Fletchy Dog below). The Fox remote lever that I install in this video ending up breaking (the handlebar clamp, not the lever itself) after about six months. Luckily it was replaced free of charge but a breakage is never confidence-inspiring. I put this up because my new Pivot Mach 429SL showed up with a 2x/3x lever for the Fox Transfer dropper post. Can&stand having cables route over the top of my bars. Not great from both a functional and an aesthetic standpoint but I never specified which remote switch when ordering the bike so there you go. Switching it out for the 1x (as this bike is running the SRAM Eagle 1x12 drivetrain) is easy and recommended. I&a big fan of the new lever, it works just as well or better than the 2x/3x over-bar option and is completely out of the the way. The only drawback is that it&a pricey part (~$65). Choose the right lever the first time! Happy trails!
