Farewell to my Fender Jaguar HH. You have served me well over the past 3 years. You will be missed. And hello to my Ibanez S521 Mol! Made in Indonesia, this guitar is made for metal. With a mahogany body and a maple neck with a rosewood fretboard, this guitar produces a very nice dark tone when it comes to the guitar sound. Although the pickups aren&the best, this guitar will hold well for people who are most likely to shred a lot on the guitar. Please note that this video is only intended as a sound check; it is not intended to show my true playing skills. As I gradually adapt to the guitar itself as well as the change in neck scale, I will try my best to play to the fullest of my abilities. Pros: -Comfortable Neck and body (Lightweight for a guitar with a mahogany body.). -Very nice bass tone from the guitar. -Tone knob actually cuts out the treble frequencies while maintaining the bass and midrange frequencies. -Amazing construction + decent price for an Indonesian-made Ibanez. Cons: -Pickups are good but not great. (UPDATE: I now have new pickups on this guitar.) Advantages gained from switching from Fender to Ibanez: -Two extra frets for a slightly higher note range in soloing. -More comfortable neck means better control in vibratos and bends. -Higher output in pickups means sound is a lot stronger and more suitable for metal. -Faster pickup switching.
