Gene Thorpe Reviews the 1993 Rickenbacker 12 string at Little Red Rooster TV Studios. When Pete Townshend asked the Rickenbacker Guitar Company to bring back and update one of his axes they were only too happy to jump on it. The result is the 1993 Plus, enhanced with a 1/8 inch wider neck, Rosewood fingerboard and a more stable two-piece neck fitted with a round heel for comfort. This classic 12-string design comes standard with three vintage reissue pickups, stereo output, trapeze tailpiece, vintage knobs and F-hole. Double body binding and pearlescent inlays that add a refined touch. X-bracing in the body helps to bring out the full, rich and warm sounds our instruments are known for. The melodic chime of Ric&12-strings continue to evolve. The original 1993 design was once exclusive to the British distributor Rose Morris in the sixties.
