Intimate Acoustic Performances
Here&another video in the "Blues Bass Solo Series". This one is similar to last month&"Cool Blues Bass Solo" But, transposed to E and also using the "quick-change" (IV Chord) during the second bar of the blues progression. You can watch and learn last month&solo in C here if you&like. Transposing solos will help you get familiar and navigate your bass neck, using various positions with lines and patterns you already know. So you can become proficient at using familiar licks and runs in various keys. Again, I believe you can get a lot of mileage learning this one as well. The 12 bar form and solo are played/looped twice, for practicing purposes. Like in the other video, this solo uses mostly Chord Tones. A few minor 3rd as Blue notes, which mostly slide to the major thirds are used to give it that Blues sounds. The 12 bar Blues in E7 uses the following chords: E7, A7, and B7 (Follow along with the Tab/Chart for the changes) The Chord Tones of a 7th Chord are: The Tonic - major 3rd - 5th - 7th In E7: E, GB, D In A7: A, CE, G In B7: B, DFA Remember that you can always slow down the video with YT video player settings to learn/read the notes from the TAB and play along with the video. As always, if you like the video, feel free to leave a comment, like and subscribe. Enjoy & Happy shedding! Bass: Godin A4 with small mandoline frets Strings: Labella Deep Talkin&Black Nylon Using lots of compressions! Downloadable Practice Media Files (Video, mp3, Guitar Pro File...
