A Toyota master diagnostic technician explains some Toyota RAV4 Prime technical details including the sealed battery, charging and the main differences between the RAV4 Prime and a regular RAV4 hybrid both from function and construction. When the Prius prime came out back in 2017 there wasn&much buzz around it as the world presumed it&another Prius. However they missed the mark in my opinion because the Prius Prime was vital to the birth of the RAV4 Prime. Toyota learned a lot from the good and bad things of the Prius Prime and the RAV4 prime sure did create a buzz when it came out. In this video we&look at the battery with a very rare picture of the actual battery outside the car. Also we&talk about the air tightness checks on the battery to ensure it is completely sealed and protected from the elements. Also I&touch base on the changes inside the inverter with converter assembly, the major change being the location of the DCDC converter and the additional Boost converter. Also we&cover the transmission and differential briefly and we&talk a bit about charging. Very slight changes in the engine timing which we&cover as well.
