This is because these re manufactured cartridges don&have a toner reset mechanism and used refilled cartridges have the mechanism set in the used position. You have to program the printer and get the page counter to zero, or the toner light will come on regardless of the cartridge being full. Other printers have a chip to indicate the cartridge is a new manufactured cartridge by the manufacturer. The Brother HL-2240 and HL2270DW have a mechanism which you can reset manually to indicate the cartridge is new or not. You need to take a screw driver to reset it, but this method is much easier. Further more, re manufactured cartridges don&have this mechanism, so using this method would be the only way to reset the toner count to zero. ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ Procedure 1.
