So Davinci Resolve has 2 versions. One is free which doesn’t require an activation key and the other version is called Studio which currently cost AUD 469. Please note that you can get the Studio version for free if you buy a Blackmagic Camera or their editing keyboards. I bought the Speed Editor and got Resolve Studio at no additional cost. There are some differences between Studio and free version. Studio or paid version has some additional features like GPU acceleration, noise reduction, effects etc. If you’re just starting out, I’ll recommend staring with the free version to see if you like it. And if you do, I’ll 100% recommend upgrading to Studio if budget permits. Ok lets talk about activation now. When you buy the Studio version, you’ll receive a package like this. Inside the package, you’ll find a small card and on the back of this card there will be an activation key. Each activation key can be activated twice for example once on a desktop workstation and another on a laptop. If the license key is activated a third time, then all previous activations of the software will be cleared, and you will need to activate again. Click on this video if you want to know how...
