Shimano Expride

The Expride series meets a clear and precise concept: a minimum of materials for maximum result! Built with the Hi-Power X technology, it has blanks which are very light but still have an enormous power. This unique construction method using carbon strips which are first vertically added and then forming a cross pattern with a 45 degree angle, which has the benefit of reducing ovality and the torsion of the blank. When fishing, this results in improved accuracy and distance when casting, better control of the lure during retrieving and increased strength of the blank. The Expride series is equipped with CI4 reel seats which not only decrease the weight but also increase the sensitivity of the rod. The "Spinning" models are equipped with the "Perfection CI4 reel seat" and the "Casting" models with "Fighting CI4 Grip Type R". All rods are mounted with semi micro stainless steel Fuji K type guides and Fuji SIC inserts. Semi micro rings guarantee the best compromise between lightness and the ease of launching the line.
